Parking and Directions

 

SAGE Parking Facility for Piedmont Park & the Atlanta Botanical Gardens

Parking for the tennis courts is available in the SAGE Parking Facility via the Monroe Drive entrance. Levels 1 through 3 are available to park visitors (upper levels 4-6 are reserved for botanical garden visitors.) Please note the levels will be enforced by parking management so please plan ahead. Parking rates are: Drop off period 0-30 minutes free, 31-60 minutes $3.00, each additional 30 minutes $2.00, maximum daily rate of $30.

When exiting the SAGE Parking Facility on level 1 to walk to the tennis courts, you will turn to your right after exiting. Look for the tall light fixtures to locate the courts.

Please note: During festivals and special events in Piedmont Park, the parking deck may temporarily fill. In the event that the parking deck is temporarily closed please look for legal street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. Handicap, UBER, and Lyft drop off is still allowed

On Street Parking

On street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods is available where legally permitted. Please be courteous & remember not to block driveways. On street parking is only allowed on select streets in the surrounding neighborhoods around the Park. Please be sure only to park where legal street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods is allowed. Towing and fines for illegal parking is rigorously enforced by the City of Atlanta.

The best address for GPS when driving and needing to park your car is: "1320 Monroe Drive, Atlanta, GA 30306". The best address for GPS when not driving and wanting to find the courts is: "Sharon Lester Tennis Center". For general directions to get to Piedmont Park by walking, biking, public transportation, or automobile, please visit the Piedmont Park Conservancy website HERE. This website will also provide other helpful information for your visit.

PLEASE NOTE: If you request on-line directions specifically for  the SAGE Parking Facility, most on-line map services will direct you to the Piedmont Street entrance. This is incorrect. Please use the Monroe street entrance by driving down Monroe, turning west onto Worchester Drive NE and continuing on Evelyn Street NE. This entrance is marked with a sign for Parking. You can view this entrance HERE.

To view where the Sharon Lester Tennis Facility is located inside the Park, click HERE. If you are driving, parking, and then walking to the Facility, please note that you must park either in the SAGE Parking Facility or where on-street parking is legally allowed in the surrounding neighborhoods. There is no parking at the Tennis Center itself, and cars are not allowed inside Piedmont Park. The Tennis Facility is located near the Aquatic Center, and is most easily recognized from a distance by the tall light fixtures.
